Learning & Development

How can I awaken my inner awareness?

Awakening your inner awareness is not about developing a supernatural power; it is more about learning to quiet the background noise of everyday life so you can hear your own intuition more clearly. Think of it like cleaning a window that has become clouded over time. When you clear away the layers of stress, constant distraction, and mental chatter, you begin to see the world, and your own inner self, much more sharply.

To start this process, you might find these three approaches helpful:

  • Practise intentional silence: We are constantly surrounded by sound, screens, and notifications. Try to set aside ten minutes each day to sit in total silence. Do not try to force your mind to be empty, as that often has the opposite effect. Instead, simply observe your thoughts as they drift by, like clouds passing in the sky. By not engaging with them, you create space for your deeper awareness to emerge.

  • Keep a feeling journal: Our intuition often speaks to us in subtle ways that we might ignore during a busy day. At the end of each day, write down any moments where you felt a strong gut feeling, a sudden flash of insight, or a shift in the atmosphere. Over time, you will start to recognise patterns in how your inner awareness communicates with you (we offer a free journal system when you join our membership).

  • Connect with your physical body: Awareness is not just a mental exercise. Pay attention to how your body reacts to different environments or people. Do you feel a tightening in your stomach, or a sudden sense of lightness? Your body is often the first to pick up on energy and information. By grounding yourself in your physical sensations, you anchor your awareness and make it easier to interpret the signals you are receiving.

Remember that this is a journey, not a race. There is no right or wrong way to do it. Some days you will feel very connected, and other days you might feel blocked. That is entirely normal. The key is to approach your development with curiosity and kindness rather than pressure. As you become more consistent, you will find that this inner voice becomes a familiar and reliable companion.
